Medical Laboratory Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic laboratory environment and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care.
About the RoleThe Medical Laboratory Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests, including specimen analysis and reporting results accurately. You will also assist with training new personnel on laboratory responsibilities and evaluate their progress. Additionally, you will continuously assess work processes and make suggestions for improved methods and ways to increase efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Process daily workload in close collaboration with colleagues.
- Perform maintenance, calibration, and quality control as well as routine analysis.
- Prioritize tasks and manage interruptions effectively.
- Utilize laboratory IT systems to enter/validate results, generate worklists, and enter data.
- Participate in internal and external quality assessments.
- Assist in testing and assessing new equipment and introducing new techniques and assays.
- Support other laboratory areas, including sample reception and storage.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
- Ensure compliance with GCP guidelines and CAP accreditation.
- Contribute to writing and reviewing Standard Operating Procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in laboratory IT systems.
