Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Engineer.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of mechanical engineering projects, including interpreting technical drawings and specifications, managing engineers, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.

  • Manage and lead a team of engineers to deliver mechanical engineering projects.
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications, and ensure that they meet project requirements.
  • Ensure that all mechanical engineering works are completed in accordance with industry standards and best practices.
  • Develop and implement effective plans to manage and mitigate risks associated with mechanical engineering projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful as a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in a consulting firm or construction company.
  • Diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of managing teams and leading projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD/BIM software, with knowledge of design and building projects, as well as relevant codes of practice.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and take initiative to identify and solve problems.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and recreational projects.
