Job Title: Senior Electrical Draftsman and Coordinator

As a key member of our project team, we are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Draftsman and Coordinator to join our ranks. This highly skilled professional will be responsible for creating detailed electrical layout drawings, single-line diagrams, schematics, and cable routing plans.

This is a dynamic role that requires strong technical skills in electrical drafting and excellent coordination skills to work with various disciplines. The successful candidate will be able to interpret engineering specifications, drawings, and documentation, and ensure that all work is completed in accordance with relevant standards and codes.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and update electrical shop drawings, as-built drawings, and coordination drawings to ensure compliance with electrical codes and project specifications.
  • Incorporate design changes, markups, and feedback from engineers or site teams into updated drawings.
  • Ensure accurate maintenance and organization of CAD files, drawing logs, and project documents.
  • Liaise with electrical engineers, site supervisors, and other disciplines (mechanical, civil, etc.) to ensure proper integration of electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendors for technical documentation, equipment details, and delivery schedules.
  • Track project progress and assist in preparing reports, schedules, and status updates.
  • Support in managing RFIs, submittals, and document control.
  • Attend coordination meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action items.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical drafting and coordination.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and other CAD software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
