About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at Arup, where you will have the opportunity to work on a range of projects and contribute to the strategic development of our MEP business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on concept and detailed electrical design for projects, working in a lead discipline engineer role.
  • Develop and implement design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Produce project-related correspondence and reports, and collaborate with a team to effectively win and undertake projects across the MEP and Buildings market.
  • Manage small project teams, developing and administering project monitoring and control mechanisms, and delivering quality work within the MEP team.
  • Work directly with clients and other professionals with minimal supervision, developing and maintaining good relationships with industry networks, clients, government agencies, sub-consultants, and construction contractors relevant to the MEP team's activities.
Requirements
  • Recognized relevant tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of detailed electrical design experience with an engineering consultancy.
  • Membership of relevant professional institutions or significant credit towards eligibility for membership.
  • Good working knowledge of relevant local and international legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels in both technical and non-technical environments, with strong written communication and report writing skills.
