SHELTON COLLEGE INTERNATIONAL PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking a highly qualified and experienced individual to fill the role of Lecturer in Drama Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching students to interpret and analyze scripts, design pedagogical practices, and create learning environments that foster effective learning of drama and its use in student teaching.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teaching and Curriculum Development: Design, prepare, and develop documents such as lesson plans and assessment descriptors, as well as teaching resources and materials based on the course handbook provided by Shelton College International.
  • Pedagogy and Performance: Teach students to use drama as a means to present a simple performance, design a pedagogical practice encouraging student learning, and structure and teach an approach to encourage student learning through drama.
  • Classroom Management and Assessment: Create a learning environment for effective learning of drama and its use in student teaching, and perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
  • Experience: Over 5 years of experience in using drama as pedagogy as a practitioner.
  • Education: A good undergraduate degree (postgraduate training in drama education and pedagogy is an added advantage).
  • Professional Development: Keep up to date on the development of discipline-related teaching practices and learning strategies in drama education and its applications.
  • Industry Links: Establish and maintain links with the industry and institutions to foster a total approach of academic pursuit alongside industry practice.
