Equipment Maintenance Specialist

We seek a skilled Equipment Maintenance Specialist to oversee and maintain all SMT production equipment. This role focuses on optimizing equipment performance, implementing preventive maintenance, and driving continuous improvement to support high-yield, high-efficiency PCB assembly operations.
Main Responsibilities:- Install, configure, and qualify new SMT production equipment ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Perform routine and corrective maintenance tasks on SMT machines to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and software-related machine issues using analytical skills and technical knowledge.
- Monitor key performance indicators such as OEE, MTBF, and MTTR to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
- Collaborate with process and production engineers to support line setup, changeovers, and NPI builds ensuring efficient equipment utilization.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive machine documentation, checklists, and service records for easy reference and compliance.
- Support calibration of SMT-related tools and feeders to ensure precision and accuracy.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to source spare parts, upgrades, and technical support in a timely manner.
- Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and 5S practices to enhance workflow efficiency and maintain a safe working environment.
- Ensure all SMT equipment complies with ESD, safety, and IPC standards adhering to regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering.
- 4-6+ years' experience in SMT or PCBA manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of SMT machines and related technologies.
- Well-versed on ISO 13485 Medical requirements and industry best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
- Able to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and machine manuals.
