Data Centre Inventory Engineer Position

Our organisation is seeking an experienced Data Centre Inventory Engineer to join their team. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as strong communication skills.

  • Maintaining accurate inventory records of incoming and outgoing deliveries.
  • Conducting regular audits of data centre equipment to ensure compliance with inventory controls.
  • Utilising pallet jacks or other assisted lifting equipment for the movement of equipment.
  • Working within a ticket-based environment to prioritise tasks and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Destruction of data bearing devices, such as hard drives and solid-state drives.
  • Managing material movement, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
  • Tactical management tasks, such as queue prioritisation, escalation resolution, and blocking issue clearance.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' experience in inventory control of data centre equipment and operations, as well as any educational qualification in IT or equivalent.

The successful candidate will possess strong communication skills in English, enabling effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
