Location: Tuas

Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.00am-5.00pm

Job Summary

The role of the Quality Assurance Specialist is to ensure the implementation and maintenance of quality management systems in accordance with API Q1, 9th edition.

  • Implementation and maintenance of API Q1, 9th edition.
  • Management of certification, customer, and internal audits of the Quality System and product and service processes.
  • Management of the control of Quality Management System (QMS) documentation.
Responsibilities and Duties

The Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for:

  • Management of certification and customer audits.
  • Facilitation of internal and supplier audit programs.
  • Development and implementation of a training program for internal auditors.
  • Maintenance of internal/supplier audit schedules.
  • Assignment of internal/supplier audit teams.
  • Review of internal/supplier audit reports.
  • Conducting follow-up to verify closure of Quality Corrective Action Requests for internal, supplier & customer audits.
  • Management of the Quality Corrective Action Request (QCAR) system.
  • Ensuring the quality controls & quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly.
  • Management of the control of QMS documentation.
  • Verification of QMS compliance with API Q1 and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
Requirements

To be successful as a Quality Assurance Specialist, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Quality systems knowledge, including auditing.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience in working within a technical team.
  • Problem solving skills using Six Sigma methodology or other recognized approaches.
