Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the full contract lifecycle for physical commodity trades.

This is a critical role within the operations framework, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of hard and soft commodities with a primary focus on Metals, Concentrates, and Aluminum.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in drafting and managing physical commodity contracts, with a strong understanding of contract administration, management, and compliance principles.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-volume physical commodity contracts across various asset classes.
  • Prepare detailed and commercially astute responses and counter-proposals to counterparty contracts.
  • Manage the end-to-end contract process, ensuring strict adherence to internal policies, risk guidelines, and deadlines.
  • Maintain and update a library of contract templates, ensuring all clauses reflect current legal, regulatory, and market standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3 years of direct experience in drafting and managing physical commodity contracts.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Metals and/or Concentrates contracts.
  • Additional experience in Dry Bulk commodities (e.g., Coal, Iron Ore), Crude Oil, or Refined Oil products highly valued.
  • Strong written English skills with the ability to draft precise and clear contractual language.
  • Meticulous attention to detail, proactive mindset, and superb organizational skills.
  • A strong controls and risk management mentality, underpinned by a solid understanding of the physical trade life cycle.
