About the Role

Fugro is seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team in Singapore. As a key member of our workshop team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of electrical equipment maintenance in our workshop and onboard geotechnical and geophysical vessels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and planning for electrical equipment inspection and testing in the workshop facility.
  • Support the equipment resource manager with planning and implementation of upgrades relating to equipment, including modification works.
  • Participate in and execute mobilization activities of electrical equipment, including development of procedures and task plans.
  • Plan and arrange contractors for repairs and maintenance, and maintain electrical components of machines, equipment, and tools.
  • Remotely supervise rig ETOs onboard vessels to ensure timely and effective repair and maintenance of offshore drill rigs and geotechnical equipment.
  • Carry out periodical inspections of geotechnical equipment onboard ships and in the warehouse to ensure uptime and safety of the plant.
  • Identify in advance the need for additional support from contractors for critical mobilization and repair activities concerning electrical equipment.
  • Ensure maintenance records, certification, and spare part information of geotechnical equipment is filed in the planned maintenance system.
  • Develop a comprehensive spares package for geotechnical equipment and effectively stock control it during ongoing operations.
  • Ensure all work performed complies with project requirements and is carried out in accordance with company rules and methods.
  • Ensure all aspects of project safety, health, and quality remain prioritized at work sites.
  • Stand in as the emergency point of contact to support field staff in troubleshooting issues on electrical equipment, including PLCs.
  • Ensure spares and consumables for geotechnical equipment required on top of vessel standard consumables are defined and updated in STAR PMS onboard Fugro managed or chartered vessels.

About You

The successful candidate will be a qualified and experienced Electrical Engineer with a detailed operational and maintenance knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs. A minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in servicing electrical equipment used in the marine and offshore industry, with a minimum of 3 years of experience working as an ETO on offshore facilities such as MODUs and rigs.
