Project Leadership Role

We are seeking a highly driven IT Applications Project Manager to lead the design, implementation and enhancement of business-critical application systems in support of our digital transformation journey.

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of application systems that support digital transformation initiatives.
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines and deliverables aligned with organisational goals.
  • Manage and communicate project status, progress, risks and issues to stakeholders including senior management.
  • Drive collaboration between IT, business analysts, vendors and external partners to ensure successful project execution.
  • Lead and motivate project teams, facilitating teamwork and resolving conflicts as needed.
  • Oversee system enhancements, application design and architecture reviews.
  • Ensure high system availability, rapid incident response and effective issue resolution.
  • Establish business systems operations with measurable performance metrics that meet both business and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage vendors and service providers to ensure SLAs are achieved and value is delivered.
  • Oversee budget, contract renewals and technology roadmap planning for application systems.
  • Ensure compliance with IT governance, security standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support audits and review activities related to business and gaming systems.
  • Work closely with IT infrastructure and cloud teams to ensure application systems are optimised in a hybrid environment.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering or related field.
  • Project Management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Certified ScrumMaster) preferred.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale application projects (digital platforms, mobile apps, portals, kiosks or bespoke systems).
  • Strong knowledge of application lifecycle management, modernisation and integration with cloud platforms.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and IT audit requirements.
  • Solid vendor and stakeholder management skills including C-suite engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
