Electrical CAD Specialist

We are seeking a skilled BIM professional to produce accurate and detailed technical drawings and 3D models for construction projects. The ideal candidate will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure all deliverables meet project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and manage BIM models using software such as Revit and AutoCAD
  • Develop 2D/3D technical drawings for architectural, structural, or MEP disciplines
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure model accuracy and compliance
Required Skills & Qualifications
  1. BIM Modeling:
    Develop accurate and detailed 3D models using software like Revit and AutoCAD
    Model architectural, structural, or MEP systems depending on specialization
  2. Drafting & Documentation:
    Produce 2D drawings (plans, sections, elevations, details) from 3D models
    Update and revise drawings based on design changes or feedback
  3. Coordination:
    Collaborate with other drafters, architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure models are coordinated
    Participate in clash detection and resolve issues between different disciplines
  4. Standards & Compliance:
    Ensure all drawings/models follow industry and project-specific CAD/BIM standards
    Adhere to local building codes and regulations as applicable
  5. Data Management:
    Organize and manage drawing files, version control, and documentation records
    Support the BIM Manager in maintaining the project's Common Data Environment (CDE)
  6. Technical Support:
    Assist in setting up templates and families for efficient modeling
    Provide input during design development, especially for constructability
  7. Qualification:
  • Associate degree in drafting or CAD, or four years of relevant work experience
  • Proficient with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of electrical circuitry and design
  • Proven experience as a BIM Modeller or CAD Drafter
  • Knowledge of BIM standards and drafting practices
