Job Title: Culinary Support Specialist

The role of Culinary Support Specialist involves collaborating with Food and Consumer Education teachers in preparing ingredients for lessons, receiving and storing food orders, and maintaining the cleanliness of cookery labs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting FCE teachers in preparing ingredients for day-to-day or special lessons
  • Receiving and storing food orders in the labs
  • Contacting suppliers to request replacements or exchanges of missing or fresh ingredients
  • Cutting and preparing specific portions of ingredients according to recipes
  • Advising teachers on insufficient ingredients for lesson preparation
  • Preparing food order lists
  • Maintaining the day-to-day cleanliness of all cookery labs, including sweeping, mopping, washing utensils, cleaning kitchen equipment, and clearing refrigerators
  • Performing stock-taking duties of consumables such as detergents
