Piping Engineer Lead


Job Description

As a key member of the engineering team, this Piping Engineer Lead will be responsible for leading and managing piping engineering activities for topside facilities in FPSO, FLNG, and offshore projects. The successful candidate will develop corporate technical standards, procedures, workflows, and engineering platforms to ensure the efficient and safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement corporate technical standards and procedures for topside piping.
  • Manage and coordinate piping engineering activities for topside facilities in FPSO, FLNG, and offshore projects.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure the successful delivery of piping engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of piping engineering activities into project timelines.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of piping engineering activities, including design basis, layouts, routing, pipe stress analysis, material specification, and material procurement engineering.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry codes and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in piping or relevant engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the offshore or onshore oil and gas industry.
  • At least 7 consecutive years with a top-tier FPSO or offshore/onshore EPC contractor.
  • Proven experience in topside piping engineering, including design basis, layouts, routing, pipe stress analysis, material specification, material procurement engineering, and supervision of detailed engineering or subcontractors.
  • Extensive knowledge of piping engineering practices, industry codes, and standards, with strong problem-solving methodology.
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with ability to work independently and in multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with ability to work effectively with co-workers, vendors, and clients.
