Job Summary

The role of Facilities Engineer at Careers@Gov involves planning, implementing, and maintaining Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems to meet organisational needs. This includes overseeing operations and maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical (M&E) systems, managing outsourced Integrated Facilities Maintenance (IFM) and Building Management System (BMS) services providers, and attending to service breakdowns and requests.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain M&E systems to ensure smooth, reliable, safe, and efficient services.
  • Propose, implement, and manage improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability, operational effectiveness, productivity, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and liaise with government agencies and statutory boards as necessary.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to implement assigned addition and alteration work requests.

Requirements

  • Effective communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Good team player, self-driven, and service-oriented.
  • Preferably experience in predictive maintenance for M&E systems.
  • Preferably able to prepare engineering specifications and estimates for facility-related projects.
  • Preferably equipped with knowledge of regulatory requirements and codes of practice related to M&E systems.
