The Role of a Senior Sourcing Specialist in Cards and CPE

As a key member of the procurement team, you will work closely with various stakeholders to drive cost saving initiatives and identify opportunities for improvement.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Category Management

  1. Develop and implement an end-to-end category management plan to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO) and consolidate suppliers.
  2. Analyze spend data to understand the supplier landscape and identify sourcing opportunities.
  3. Maintain and provide category strategy, project/initiative progress and performance tracking and reporting.

Strategic Sourcing

  1. Initiate sourcing activities aligned to category and sourcing plans.
  2. Lead global and regional sourcing projects, taking a hands-on approach for mid to large size sourcing projects / initiatives.

Supplier Management

  1. Build strategic relationships with key suppliers to create a high performing culture that motivates and rewards suppliers to develop market leading innovations.

Key Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, it is essential to have a strong understanding of the telecom industry combined with a deep understanding of the CPE market.

Key skills required include negotiation, supplier relationship management, collaboration, analytical thinking, result-oriented, systems thinking, contract management, category management, procurement, project management, and sourcing.
