Science Support Specialist Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Science Support Specialist to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of materials in the Art room and equipment in the Science laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and ensure the organization and cleanliness of materials in the Art room and equipment in the Science laboratory.
  • Oversee and manage the science hydroponics, Vegepods, and eco-garden areas.
  • Collaborate with teachers to support Science experiments and oversee Science Trails in the school.
  • Assist with maintaining inventory for the Science laboratory, Art room, and Maths department.
  • Laminate and pack teaching resources as needed.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the school to support its operational needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of laboratory practices and procedures.
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting is an asset.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 20 kg and stand for long periods.
