Facilities Manager for Defence Collective Singapore

We are seeking a skilled Facilities Manager to join our team at Defence Collective Singapore. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the upkeep, procurement, and maintenance of all exhibits, audio-visual equipment, facilities, and essential services for daily operations.
Responsibilities- Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement building maintenance programs for architectural, electrical, and mechanical systems, as well as exhibits and attractions. Coordinate with internal and external vendors to execute maintenance services and conduct joint inspection rounds with Specialists/Technical Officers on building/Exhibit/AV & lighting defects.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety equipment, work methods, and procedures. Promptly rectify any unsafe situations, adhering to Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations. Implement Company's SOP and policies, including QEHS policies, and conduct regular checks on the entire building to ensure prompt removal of fire hazards, proper functioning of fire escapes, fire doors, and obstruction-free access.
- Supervise Works: Control and supervise all AV Lighting and exhibition-related works performed by Specialists/Technical Officers and contractors, including those carried out by tenant's fitting out contractors. Supervise and inspect the works of contractors and service providers (cleaning, housekeeping, landscaping, pest control, car park, and security). Ensure contractors' compliance with safety regulations and level of standards set by DCS.
- Repairs and Emergency Situations: Respond to emergency situations and troubleshoot sound and video issues. Ensure prompt repairs of property facilities and provide updates to Centre Management team regarding the situation.
- Procurement: Manage budgetary control of expenditures, including preparation of annual budgets and forecasts. Conduct tender exercises for OPEX/CAPEX works, such as replacement, upgrading, or redevelopment works, and manage such works according to timeline, including putting up of documents and procurement for OPEX/CAPEX requests.
- Daily Operations: Coordinate meetings and events, providing logistics support, obtaining quotations, raising invoices, etc. Conduct regular inspections of the centre to ensure high standards of cleanliness and service provided by term contractors related to cleaning, landscaping, pest control, etc.
- Reports: Monitor and report on the work progress of minor improvement projects or A&A work. Tabulate inspection reports and plans for defects rectification.
- Project Management: Procure services and manage projects from inception to completion. Project leads manage all aspects of projects.
- Event Management: Provide audio, visual, and media services for events and activities (e.g., Family Day, celebrations, etc.). Assist staff in setting up technology in venues.
- Others: Provide training to staff and students on the use of AV and lighting equipment, perform ad-hoc duties, handyman work, and assigned projects.
- A minimum diploma in audiovisual technology, sound engineering, lighting design technology, or related fields (digital media, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English, with proficiency in oral and written communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and under pressure, managing multiple concurrent tasks and responsibilities while dealing with changing priorities.
- Possess strong working knowledge of maintenance work, local codes, and regulations. Familiarity with statutory requirements on building services, facility operations, maintenance, and safety.
- Ability to withstand strenuous activities like frequent walking, prolonged standing, climbing ladders, bending, and kneeling without restriction.
- Able to work on rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
- Relevant experiences in facilities management/MCST, ACMV, M&E Systems, building automation system (BAS), Certification as Fire Safety Manager is an added advantage.
Defence Collective Singapore LTD is a leading organization in the defence sector. We offer competitive salaries and benefits to our employees. The salary range for this position is estimated to be around SGD 80,000 - 120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
