Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Financial Manager to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for preparing quarterly financial statements and reports accurately within tight timelines.

  • Financial Statement Preparation: You will be responsible for preparing quarterly financial statements and reports using external systems.
  • Budget Management: You will assist in updating budget figures in the STRAVIS system.
  • Financial Queries: You will respond to all financial accounts queries from Head Office.
  • Annual General Meeting: You will prepare financial statements for the annual general meeting.
  • Tax Liaison: You will liaise with tax agents regarding corporate tax.
  • Compliance: You will ensure compliance with relevant statutory acts and deadlines.
  • Audit Coordination: You will coordinate external audits and respond swiftly to auditors on all queries.
  • Document Filing: You will liaise with filing agents on ACRA documents and IRAS as necessary.
  • Accounts Payable: You will manage accounts payable for sundry creditors.
  • Accounting Schedules: You will prepare monthly accounting schedules including fixed assets and depreciation.
  • Team Support: You will assist Senior Accounts Managers and team members as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in accountancy or ACCA qualification.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' working experience preferable as a managerial position in an accounting department.
  • Critical Skills: Experience in corporate tax computation and reconciliation, good knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines, and proficiency in MS Office applications.
