Job Overview:
A highly skilled Mechanical Procurement Specialist is required by SMARTT PRECISION MFG PTE. LTD. to support the company's strategic sourcing initiatives. This role will be responsible for managing all aspects of mechanical procurement, including identifying and qualifying suppliers, negotiating prices and delivery terms, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.

Job Description:
The successful candidate will have a minimum Diploma holder with technical background and at least 5 years of experience in the EMS/Manufacturing environment. Proficiency in SAP is an added advantage. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, negotiation skills, and good time management skills.

Responsibilities:
- Engage in active communication with teams to exchange ideas and information.
- Organize verbal and written ideas clearly and use an appropriate business style.
- Responsible for BOM conditioning, including Make/Buy codings and commoditizing parts.
- Identify custom mechanical material requirements and coordinates with internal functions for quote proposal development.
- Identify information required to develop accurate quotes from the supply base and ensures it is availability or requests it from the Business Unit(s) responsible for the given quote.
- Attend and runs quote kick-off meetings for all assigned quote projects.
- Preparation of supplier RFQ packages and solicitation of quotes from the supply base.
- Review and analyze recommended supplier quotes to provide complete costed BOM proposals to Business Unit(s).
- Maintain relationships with supply base used for quoting activities.
- Support Commodity Management by maintaining knowledge of suppliers for custom mechanical commodities.
- Maintain record of suppliers that consistently provide quotes and related information in a timely manner, provides feedback to those suppliers.
- Review and analyzes quotes with Strategic Sourcing Manager and Material Quote Manager to ensure that proposal submission is consistent with the supply chain strategy, ability to supply and customer's needs.
- Obtain feedback for customer proposals and identify changes in process, tools and execution to improve future submissions.
- Exercise a good working knowledge of materials, assembly and fabrication processes, and sources of supply to support a competitive supply chain strategy for each quote proposal.
- Perform other special projects for Material Quote Manager as necessary.
- Ensure all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum Diploma holder with technical background preferred.
- At least more than 5 years of experience in the EMS/Manufacturing environment.
- At least 2 years exposure with components sourcing and fabrication parts in high mix low volume environment.
- Proficient in SAP will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical skill and negotiation skills.
- Good time management skills.

Salary:
$80,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience.
