Maritime Operations Trainee

We are seeking a Trainee Maritime Operations professional to join our team. As a Maritime Operations Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting in the smooth operation of maritime vessels and supporting our chartering team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with vessels, agents, charterers, owners, shippers, receivers, and other external parties to ensure efficient operations.
  • Monitor daily vessel positions and schedules.
  • Provide information on running voyages to support chartering activities.
  • Assist with time charter operations.
  • Contribute to voyage planning and execution, including stowage optimization.
  • Issue invoices and hire statements, handle laytime and demurrage calculations.
  • Finalize voyages, including follow-up activities.
  • Manage port calls, negotiating port disbursement accounts.
  • Coordinate hold and hull cleaning procedures with technical departments and Masters.
  • Verify and approve B/L drafts, commission invoices, FDA notifications, and bunker invoices.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Maritime Studies or a related field from a recognized university.
  • A team player with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with IMOS, CFM, and SEDNA software.
  • Excellent English language skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
