Job Title: Database Administrator

Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database management, with expertise in PostgreSQL and MySQL.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high availability database environments, including database monitoring systems, automation systems, log systems, backup systems, and other related systems.
  • Daily operations will involve monitoring, operating, maintaining, optimizing, and troubleshooting the PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
  • Database security hardening is crucial to ensure data integrity and security, and the specialist will take responsibility for this task.
  • The Database Administrator will participate in various types of cutovers, including switchover from one master to multiple slaves, implementation of BI data push, cluster data synchronization, and data migration.
  • Stress testing on production databases will need to be performed, and database performance will be optimized.
  • A cluster and disaster recovery environment will be set up to achieve high availability of the database.
Requirements:
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree/Post-Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for a junior position.
  • Required skills: PostgreSQL, database monitoring, automation system, technical support, HA DB environment, production database testing.
  • Familiar with SQL statements, performance tuning, and troubleshooting application issues.
  • Strong knowledge in DB security control.
  • Team player and able to work independently.
  • Provide technical support to other team members.
  • Preferably Senior Executive specialized in IT/Computer - Network/System/Database Admin or equivalent.
