Job Title: Project Control and Planning Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and submit project monthly reports and presentations
  • Update working programmes and schedules
  • Advise Project Managers on critical path and project schedule matters
  • Prepare impacted programmes as work sequences change or when End Of Term (EOT) is provided
  • Advise Senior Management on EOT-related matters and draft corresponding letters
  • Coordinate meetings with external claim consultants, complete with Minutes Of Meeting (MOM)

Programme Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the Programme for the Works, including updating and compiling Monthly Progress Reports
  • Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to ensure all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
  • Advising Project Directors of any significant impacts or key changes to the Programme for the Works and available mitigation opportunities

Project Support:

  • Leading and guiding Senior Planners/Planners in time management of the project
  • Supporting Building Information Modelling (BIM) to show planned and actual construction sequences, providing six-monthly forecasts, and BIM (5D) for cost estimating, cash flow forecasting, and reporting actual expenditure
  • Implementing Change Control processes to manage Scope of Works, BIM Model, and the Programme for the Works
  • Implementing Earned Value management regarding expenditure, finances, and progress

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with project team members to identify and resolve issues
  • Providing forecasts and actual expenditure against plans
  • Submitting project deliverables and ensuring they adhere to quality standards
  • Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution
  • Facilitating change requests to inform all parties of schedule and budget impacts
  • Adjusting schedules and targets as needed without compromising client expectations and scheduled handovers
  • Obtaining customer acceptance of project deliverables
  • Managing customer satisfaction during project transitions
  • Conducting post-project evaluations and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elements
  • Participating in Risk Management processes to identify programme risks and mitigations

Requirements:

  • Minimum degree in Engineering with 5 years' experience preferably
  • Competence with Primavera P6 is essential
  • Experience in project planning, commercial case preparation, and project costing
  • Able to independently manage full interior fit-out projects as the key person in charge and point of control for clients
  • Proficient in English and necessary documentation/administrative work
  • Possess strong multi-tasking skills to work on multiple projects concurrently
  • Possess drive and commitment to achieve targets under tight deadlines and pressure
  • High competency in Microsoft applications (e.g. Word, Excel)
  • Dynamic, self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented with a proven track record in the construction industry
