Key Responsibilities:- Conduct laboratory tests and analysis in accordance with standard methods and procedures.
- Ensure data quality and accuracy, adhering to the laboratory's data handling guidelines.
- Review and repeat tests as necessary to ensure reliable results.
- Participate in laboratory functions, including proficiency testing, SQC checks, and meetings.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to good housekeeping practices.
- Assist chemists in new method development and standardization of reagents and equipment.
- Work overtime as required and represent the laboratory in witnessing at third-party laboratories.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
- Minimum Diploma in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering; applicants with professional certificates or Higher Nitec with related experience will be considered.
- One year of working experience in the petroleum or petrochemical laboratory industry is preferred, but entry-level applicants will be considered.
- Experience in handling laboratory instruments such as GC, GCMS, HPLC, FTIR, ICP-OES, ICP-MS, UV spectrophotometer, or petroleum physical testing equipment.
- Physically fit and able to work 12-hour morning and night shifts.
- Able to work in a team and support the Team Leader/Assistant Team Leader.
- Variable allowances, including shift, transport, and standby allowances.
- Flexi-benefits for dental, optical, or medical screening.
- Overtime pay when required.
