Quantity Surveyors play a pivotal role in construction projects, overseeing financial management and ensuring that costs are accurately forecasted.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building and civil engineering principles, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.

A key aspect of this role is managing expenditure during construction, identifying areas where costs can be optimized, and implementing measures to minimize waste.

In addition to these responsibilities, Quantity Surveyors must also perform quantity take-off, handle progress claims, and prepare tender documents.

This is an excellent opportunity for professionals looking to develop their skills in cost management, contract administration, and risk analysis.

To succeed in this position, you will need a degree in a relevant field, such as building or quantity surveying, and a minimum of one year's experience in construction.

You should be resourceful, able to maintain good relationships with clients and sub-contractors, and have a keen eye for detail.

  • Ability to source suppliers and sub-contractors quotations
  • Tabulation of price comparison and costing summary
  • Preparation of interim valuations, pricing and agreement of contract variations
  • Regular and up-to-date claim submissions and follow-up
  • Assist monthly cost and value report
  • Quantity take-off
  • Preparing tender and contract documents
  • Undertaking costs analysis for repair and maintenance project work
