Junior College Physical Education Teacher Job Description

This role encompasses a wide range of responsibilities including designing and delivering engaging lessons tailored to the diverse learning needs of students.

  • A strong undergraduate degree in the relevant field is essential for this position.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in education or equivalent are advantageous.
  • Certification in first aid, CPR, and AED is beneficial.
  • A passion for teaching students aged 13 to 18 years old is crucial.

This role requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:

In addition to delivering high-quality lessons, the successful candidate will be responsible for mentoring students' social development through counseling and collaboration with parents.

They will also be expected to foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to meet the academic and pastoral needs of students.

Experience in indoor and outdoor competitive sports is valuable, but not essential.

The teacher will be required to apply sports science principles to manage co-curricular activities, promoting character and leadership development while planning training cycles.

The junior college physical education teacher will participate in departmental meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other school-wide events as needed.

They will also carry out additional duties as assigned by the institution.
