Trade Finance Specialist

Description:

The role involves processing and supporting trade finance transactions, including Letters of Credit, collections, and bank guarantees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle trade finance processing tasks as an Inputter, covering:
    Letters of Credit (advising, amendments, re-advising, transfers)
    Inward and outward collections, disbursements, negotiations
    Document checking, acceptance, payments, trust receipts, banker guarantees
    Trade-related loan drawdowns and discounting
  • Perform journal entries and assist with month-end reporting
  • Conduct compliance checks involving sanctioned countries, vessels, trade routes, and counterparties

Requirements:

  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in Trade Finance operations
  • Solid understanding of UCP600, ISBP745, and ISP98
  • Skilled in vetting trade documents; CDCS certification is an added advantage
  • Experience with LC issuance processes
  • Familiar with system enhancement initiatives, including UATs and related projects
  • Meticulous, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong communication and coordination skills; team player
