Job Title: Relief Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Relief Teacher to join our team at Brighton College (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching all subjects except those taught by specialist teachers, ensuring monitoring, recording, assessment, and reporting are undertaken in accordance with school policies. They will also be responsible for the behaviour and discipline of children in the class, liaising closely with the Head Master and other staff members regarding any children for concern.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach all subjects except those taught by specialist teachers, following school policies and schemes of work.
  • Monitor, record, assess, and report student progress in accordance with school policies.
  • Mark work appropriately and provide individual feedback and encouragement.
  • Be responsible for the behaviour and discipline of children in the class, following the school's behaviour policy.
  • Lunch with children and monitor lunchtime behaviour.
  • Liaise with the Head Master and other staff members regarding children for concern.
  • Ensure the classroom provides a stimulating and interesting learning environment.
  • Ensure all paperwork is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Be responsible for the care, security, and maintenance of resources and equipment in the classroom and throughout the school.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cover/relief teaching in an independent school environment for children aged 18 months to 13 years old.
  • Possesses relevant Teaching Certification recognised in the International Teaching Climate (i.e. QTS, PGCE/i-PGCE).
  • Highly adept and adaptable individual with a pro-active attitude and a passion for teaching children across a wide age range.
