We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Microbiologist to join our team at ScaleUp Bio Pte. Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with fermentation scientists to develop optimized culture conditions for production strains and perform various tasks related to fermentation technology.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and design strain screening and collection strategies for fermentation processes.
- Manage cell bank construction and maintenance based on customer strains.
- Perform routine microbiological testing and cell counting of fermentation samples.
- Conduct microbial contamination testing of process samples and environmental samples.
- Develop and implement new technical developments in fermentation process improvement.
- Provide scientific and technical support in collaboration projects with customers.
- Cross-functionally collaborate with scientists, engineers, and management professionals.
- Responsible for analytical lab duties, including HPLC.
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience in Microbiology or Chemistry or related field.
- Industrial experience in culture strain storage management and related fields.
- Experience in microbial isolation, cultivation, characterization, and identification, as well as microbial physiology and ecology.
- Familiarity with strain handling, microbial communities, high-throughput screenings, and fermentation.
- Strong communication and organization skills, with ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.
