Senior Service Engineer Role


Job Overview:

The Senior AV Service Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the optimal operation of autonomous vehicles. This position demands exceptional technical expertise and exceptional customer service skills.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide on-site technical support for Level 1 troubleshooting and debugging, collaborating with senior engineers to escalate complex issues.
  • Work with data loggers, onboard sensors, software systems, diagnostic tools, and feedback forms to collect and analyze data.
  • Conduct regular inspections, diagnostic tests, and scheduled maintenance for vehicle assets, developing maintenance schedules that adhere to protocols and manufacturer guidelines.
  • Maintain meticulous records of troubleshooting procedures, data collection findings, and maintenance activities performed.
  • Generate detailed reports outlining identified issues, recommended solutions, and actions taken for each maintenance task or diagnostic analysis.

Requirements:

Minimally a diploma in a relevant engineering field, with equivalent work experience and a focus on mechatronics preferred. Hands-on experience in service engineering, technical support, and operations coordination is essential. Proficiency in Linux (Ubuntu) environment and Class 4 autonomous buses equipped with SAE Level 4 autonomy is required.

Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders, and dedication to meticulous documentation and reporting practices are also necessary.
