Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned investment professional to join our dynamic team as a Vice President, Investments for the Renewable Power & Transition business in Singapore. This exciting opportunity represents a chance to lead the identification, assessment, and execution of investment opportunities in the renewable power and energy transition sectors.

This role involves assessing investment opportunities, driving business development, and transaction initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading transactions from origination to execution of definitive documentation, working closely with senior leadership and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will possess a depth of knowledge in the renewable and energy transition space in Southeast Asia, with experience in financial modeling and due diligence. They will also demonstrate strong negotiation and relationship management skills, as well as sound and thoughtful judgement with leadership abilities to empower and mobilize a team.

Responsibilities include origination, execution, asset management, and leadership. Origination involves supporting the implementation of the business development and transaction strategy, conducting industry and market research, and developing new investment ideas. Execution includes leading the team in all stages of a transaction's life cycle, collaborating with internal functional partners, and interfacing with counterparties and external advisors.

Asset management involves constantly thinking of ways to improve portfolio companies and investments, working with management teams on strategic business initiatives, monitoring ongoing financial and operational performance, and making recommendations for improvement. Leadership responsibilities include managing, coaching, and developing talent, providing constructive and timely feedback, and representing the organization externally.

  • Origination: Support the implementation of the business development and transaction strategy
  • Execution: Lead the team in all stages of a transaction's life cycle
  • Asset Management: Constantly think of ways to improve portfolio companies and investments
  • Leadership: Manage, coach, and develop talent
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of experience as an investment professional
  • Exposure to the infrastructure and/or renewable industry in Southeast Asia
  • A proven track record of leading a team throughout the end-to-end execution of a transaction
  • Superior financial modeling and due diligence capabilities
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
  • Sound and thoughtful judgement with leadership abilities
