Global Transfer Pricing Lead

Nomura Singapore Limited is seeking a highly skilled Global Transfer Pricing Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading our global transfer pricing strategy, policy, and implementation, as well as providing support to business and corporate stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain the global transfer pricing policy to align with Nomura's business strategies and goals.
- Manage the global transfer pricing portfolio within the Global Tax Governance framework, ensuring effective and efficient processes and resource management.
- Implement and execute transfer pricing policies, including reviewing key transfer pricing transactions and supporting regional tax and finance teams on transfer pricing reporting.
- Lead transfer pricing audit defense and tax authority engagement, including APA strategy and implementation, as well as audit defense across multiple jurisdictions and regions.
- Provide guidance and support to regional teams on transfer pricing issues, including reviewing and advising on intercompany agreements and strategically managing and steering transfer pricing audits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities, external advisors, and industry peers to stay up-to-date with developments and ensure the company's transfer pricing practices are aligned with industry standards.
- Guide the transfer pricing operational team to optimize its effectiveness through the appropriate deployment of tools and technology.
- Stay informed about changes in regulations and industry best practices, and develop and maintain knowledge of transfer pricing principles, methodologies, and regulations.
- Develop and maintain transfer pricing documentation, including local file reports, benchmarking, fact-finding, and policy rationale.
Requirements:
- Minimum degree from an accredited university.
- Minimum 18 years' experience in transfer pricing within a financial institution or an international accounting firm, with a focus on the financial services industry.
- Experience in transfer pricing principles, methodologies, regulations, international tax, corporate tax, indirect tax, and transfer pricing principles across multiple tax jurisdictions.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Proven track record of successfully developing and implementing transfer pricing strategies that align with business objectives and comply with tax regulations.
- Proven track record of proactive management of transfer pricing risks through APA or MAP negotiations, with experience in transfer pricing audit defense.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex transfer pricing issues and provide practical solutions.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex transfer pricing concepts to non-tax professionals and collaborate across multi-functional and diverse teams to deliver effective solutions.
