  • We operate on commercial principles seeking to deliver sustainable returns over the long term.
  • Our teams identify key sectoral developments and assess investment opportunities across asset classes commodities equities funds etc.
  • They model commodity data for specific markets and produce analysis based on short-term market developments.
  • We conduct research and financial analysis on assigned sub-sectors and relevant companies.
  • Our focus is on developing financial models and presentations for internal evaluation and investment committees.
  • We assist in structuring and consummating new direct investments as well as pursuing divestments where appropriate.
  • Monitoring existing portfolio companies and new direct investments against investment thesis is also a key responsibility.
  • We establish and cultivate relationships with companies research analysts and other relevant institutions.
  • Regular portfolio reporting and periodic firm-wide strategic initiatives are also part of our work.
Requirements
  • Excellent academic qualifications in any discipline and a passion for investing.
  • A minimum of 2 years progressive working experience in financial markets with a focus on commodity/equity markets.
  • Commodity investing macro hedge fund equity investing or research experience would be favorably looked at.
  • Familiarity with sectors such as metal mining materials resources or commodities would be preferred.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and their drivers.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with strong financial modeling skill and ability to perform fundamental research.
  • High level of interpersonal presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well within diverse teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
  • Team player and self-starter with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Familiarity with use of electronic data sources and productivity tools.
