Job Opportunity in Food Science Research and Development

This is an exciting chance for a talented professional to drive innovation and excellence in food science. Our team is looking for someone who can stay current with industry developments, create and improve product prototypes, establish product specifications and documentation, evaluate product characteristics, conceptualise commercial production processes, translate lab/pilot to commercial production, make recommendations for new manufacturing processes, conduct training and coach staff, and maintain laboratory cleanliness.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Stay Current with Industry Developments:
    • Participate in regular training sessions to stay updated with the latest industry advancements.
  • Create and Improve Product Prototypes:
    • Design and conduct experiments to develop new product prototypes.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance existing products and processes.
  • Establish Product Specifications and Documentation:
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive product documentation.
  • Evaluate Product Characteristics:
    • Analyze product data to identify implications on shelf life, quality, and scalability.
  • Conceptualise Commercial Production Processes:
    • Design and optimize commercial production processes for food ingredients.
  • Translate Lab/Pilot to Commercial Production:
    • Ensure seamless transition from lab/pilot to commercial production.
  • Make Recommendations for New Manufacturing Processes:
    • Provide expert recommendations for new manufacturing processes or equipment modifications.
  • Conduct Training and Coach Staff:
    • Train and coach staff members on new processes and procedures.
  • Maintain Laboratory Cleanliness:
    • Ensure laboratories are well-maintained and clean.
Required Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with a BSc in Food Science or Chemical Engineering and experience in flavour or related industry research/processing function. A strong analytical and communication skillset is also essential. Additionally, we require a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.

  • Key Requirements:
  • BSc in Food Science or Chemical Engineering:
    • A recognised BSc degree in Food Science or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in Flavour or Related Industry Research/Processing Function:
    • Prior experience in flavour or related industry research/processing function.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills:
    • Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.
  • Commitment to Quality Standards:
    • A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality.
Benefits
