Early Childhood Assistant Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Assistant.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for the children, promoting their overall development and well-being. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing routine care for infants, including mealtime, toileting, and rest periods;
  • Communicating with the class teacher on the children's progress and well-being in school;
  • Maintaining positive relationships with parents and other staff members;
  • Assisting with preschool functions and supporting the educational goals of the program;
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
Requirements:

Successful applicants will have:

  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in early childhood education;
  • Untrained or undergoing training in early years education;
  • Fundamental knowledge in early childhood development and learning principles;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:

It is desirable for candidates to possess skills in:

  • Childcare and child development;
  • Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and Word;
  • Classroom management and organization techniques;
  • Assessment and evaluation methods;
  • Teamwork and collaboration.
