Family Support Services Role

Care Corner Singapore Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker/Counsellor to join our Family Support Services team in Woodlands.


The ideal candidate will provide casework and counselling services for families, conducting counselling sessions for individuals, couples, and families dealing with family-related issues.


This role involves planning, reviewing, and facilitating groupwork interventions for parents and children, as well as facilitating premarital and divorce-related programmes and workshops to equip couples and parents with relationship-enhancing knowledge and skills.


The successful candidate will also lead research efforts to build domain-specific knowledge in the local context, review research evidence to implement, facilitate, and evaluate groupwork and programmes, and conduct internal training for the team/service point.


This role requires a Master's Degree in Counselling or a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, preferably with a recognised certification in Counselling. The ideal candidate should have around 6-8 years of relevant casework/counselling experience, with a proven leadership track record in previous experiences.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Casework and Counselling: Conduct counselling sessions for individuals, couples, and families; identify, assess, and manage risks inherent in complex cases.
  • Support Programme and Workshops: Plan, review, and facilitate groupwork interventions for parents and children; facilitate premarital and divorce-related programmes and workshops.
  • Supervisory and Appraisal: Provide programme, practice/clinical, and administrative supervision to Assistant Senior Counsellors/Social Workers; lead and guide Assistant Senior Counsellors/Social Workers to case manage and conduct case conferences.
  • Research and Practice: Lead research efforts to build domain-specific knowledge in the local context; review research evidence to implement, facilitate, and evaluate groupwork and programmes.

Requirements:

  • Master Degree in Counselling or Bachelor Degree in Social Work, preferably with a recognised certification in Counselling.
  • Around 6-8 years of relevant casework/counselling experience, preferably with a proven leadership track record in previous experiences.
