Quality Assurance Technician - Toolroom Operations Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in the toolroom operations department. As a key member of our quality assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our products.
Key Responsibilities- Inspect and evaluate tooling items to ensure they meet our quality standards.
- Liaise with machinists, supervisors, and designers to review detailed 3D drawings and specifications.
- Report non-conformities, correction actions, and maintain accurate records.
- Update bill of materials (BOM) for fabrication and inspection status, and support tooling spare management systems.
- Support tool engineers on inspection of tooling items and manage calibration activities.
- Maintain calibration records and organize repair of equipment and sourcing of new equipment.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to evaluate quality and reliability processes.
- Update masterlists for QA documents, including quality plans, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
- Document issues and retrieval for all users and maintain original documents.
- ITE in Engineering with at least 1 year of experience in toolroom operations.
- Ability to operate Smart Scope, Profile Projector, CMM, and Height Gauge equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
