Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop process philosophies, including control and shutdown philosophies, isolation philosophies, and vent, relief, and flare load calculation philosophies.
  • Prepare process simulation heat and mass balances, process flow diagrams, utility flow diagrams, and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Perform equipment sizing calculations, line sizing calculations, and hydraulic analysis, as well as flare network design.
  • Review technical queries and assist lead engineers in concluding TQs with clients.
  • Execute process studies, prepare reports, and create process datasheets for mechanical equipment and instruments.
  • Conduct interdisciplinary checks and provide input to other discipline engineering deliverables.
  • Review vendor documents and provide comments to ensure vendor designs align with project requirements.
  • Provide input to operating manuals, pre-commissioning, and commissioning manuals.
  • Assist lead engineers with procurement engineering, reviewing vendor proposals, TCs, deviation lists, TBEs, and VCDs.
  • Manage interfaces with hull and marine systems, including cargo and utilities.
  • Review and comment on TEC process engineering deliverables, including process simulations, technical queries, and third-party specialist studies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related engineering disciplines.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in the marine and offshore industry.
  • Experience in FEED and EPC engineering.
  • Proficiency in using design software such as ASPEN HYSYS, UNISIM, etc.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Flexible and comfortable with travel to Tuas.
  • Keen to be engaged in renewable contractual roles subject to project requirements.
