Our goal is to provide an exceptional viewing experience for our customers on various devices including mobile devices, tablets, Apple TV, PC, Smart TV, and Android TV.
About this RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Back-end Engineer who can work closely with product designers, product managers, mobile, and quality engineering teams to produce an awesome user experience. The ideal candidate will have experience in high-availability distributed systems and be able to design and develop systems that serve millions of customers daily.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, support, and improve key backend systems of the Coupang Play with high availability and scalability;
- Build RESTful APIs with proper documentation and tests;
- Build modular, testable code and libraries for future use;
- Optimize the application for maximum speed & performance;
- Formulate scalable technical solutions to satisfy product requirements from Product Owner;
- Implementation of security and data protection;
- Bachelor's degree and 6+ years' experience in server application and system engineering using modern language;
- Expert with one or more of the following programming languages for back-end engineering: Go, Java, JavaScript, Node.js;
- Proficient with modern cloud computing such as AWS or GCP;
- Ability to work in an Agile environment at scale;
- Independent and self-driven;
- Experience with issue and bug ticketing systems; Zendesk, JIRA, GitHub;
We offer a competitive salary of $120,000 - $180,000 per year based on experience, along with benefits and opportunities for career growth.
