Job Description

Job Summary

ECON Healthcare Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Manager, Social Services to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing supervision, guidance, and support to assigned staff to ensure high-quality services are delivered to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Department in providing supervision, guidance, and precepting assigned staff to ensure high-quality services are delivered.
  • Assist the Head of Department in assessing staff competency and identifying learning needs.
  • Assist the Head of Department in reviewing and updating policies and procedures to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist the Head of Department in reviewing and developing workflows to ensure seamless admission of residents.
  • Collaborate with government agencies, hospitals, community service providers, and internal and external healthcare teams to provide coordination and continuity of patient care.
  • Conduct and participate in case conferences.
  • Act as a coordinator for all subsidized admissions under the Ministry of Health.
  • Perform financial counseling for all residents, including the preparation of admission contracts and other administrative matters.
  • Perform assessments on residents and their families' eligibility for financial assistance.
  • Assist the Head of Department in putting up applications for government subsidies, including Day Care, Day Rehab, Home Modification, and Senior Mobility Fund.
  • Assist the Head of Department in applying for government financial schemes, including Interim Disability Assistance Programme for the Elderly, Eldershield Claim, Medical Fee Exemption Card, and Medifund Claim.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department.

Requirements

  • Degree in Social Work or any equivalent qualification.
  • At least 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathetic and compassionate.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Qualifications

Degree in Social Work or any equivalent qualification.
