Job Title: Underwater Operations Specialist

  • Operating ROVs during various underwater operations in accordance with approved procedures and objectives is a key responsibility.
  • Maintenance of the ROV and ancillary systems requires electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic repair skills.
  • Assisting senior pilots in directing marine operations such as lifting, launching, and recovery of the ROV is an important task.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders like port authorities, customer vessels, and bunker barges during marine operations is essential.
  • Preparing reports and required documentation before and after operations is crucial.
  • Brainstorming and performing upgrades of the ROV system to improve operational efficiency is also required.
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties assigned by technical or country managers is part of the job. Requirements:
    • A strong understanding of electrical and electronics engineering principles is necessary.
    • Critical evaluation and troubleshooting skills are required to improve ROV design and capabilities.
    • Good spatial awareness is essential for operating the ROV safely.
    • Familiarity with general marine and electrical safety processes is necessary.
    • Previous offshore ROV experience is preferred but not necessary.
    • Basic computer skills are required.
    • Meticulousness and a task-oriented approach are essential for high-quality work.
    • A positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team are necessary.
    • Mental and physical ability to work on a vessel and shipyard environment is required.
    • Able to work irregular shift hours when required.
