Our centre is seeking a passionate Chinese language educator to deliver engaging lessons and foster a love for the language in our children.

About the Role

We are looking for an individual who possesses excellent communication skills in Chinese, with a strong foundation in the language. The ideal candidate should be able to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

The role requires a high level of creativity and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities. A successful candidate will be able to think on their feet and respond to unexpected situations with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs and abilities of our students;
  • To create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social interaction and collaboration among students;
  • To assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly;
  • To communicate effectively with parents and other stakeholders to keep them informed about student progress and any issues that may arise;
  • To participate in ongoing professional development to stay up-to-date with best practices in language teaching and learning.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chinese language or linguistics;
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching Chinese to non-native speakers;
  • Excellent spoken and written English language skills;
  • Strong organisational and time management skills;
  • Able to work collaboratively as part of a team.
