We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our team.
About the Role
This position involves maintaining navigational and radar systems onboard surface vessels and shore facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring optimal system availability and readiness.
Main Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers, managers, and project teams to deliver quality maintenance services.
- Maintain the highest state of system readiness on naval platforms.
- Perform maintenance tasks on navigational and radar systems onboard vessels, workshops, and shipyards.
- Troubleshoot defects on these systems.
- Install and remove equipment as required.
- Refurbish electronics units and assemblies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in a relevant discipline (Engineering, IT, or equivalent).
- Knowledge and experience in navigating, radar, and networking systems.
- Naval related maintenance or training certifications an advantage.
- Familiarity with firewalls, servers, intrusion detection systems, endpoint protection, VMware, SIEM, PAM, and Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) an advantage.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Able to adapt to changing circumstances and customer requirements.
Working Conditions:
- Mon-Fri, 8am - 5:30pm (with occasional requirement to sail for up to 3 days).
Location:
- Tuas, Singapore (with shuttle bus service available at selected MRT stations).
Compensation:
- Up to SGD 5000 per annum.
