Financial Lines Underwriter
">We are seeking a skilled Financial Lines Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of the underwriting department, you will play a vital role in helping us manage risk and deliver insurance solutions to our clients.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial lines underwriting, with experience in risk assessment, new business reinsurance negotiations, and developing renewal retention strategies.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting thorough risk assessments and providing recommendations to ensure accurate pricing and risk management
- Negotiating new business reinsurance contracts and developing renewal retention strategies
- Maintaining strong working relationships with brokers and other stakeholders
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments and regulatory changes
- Assisting with account targeting strategy and product development initiatives
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A MAS recognized insurance qualification
- Proven experience in financial lines underwriting, preferably with a focus on cyber
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Confidence and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
