Kk Women's And Children's Hospital Pte. Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Social Worker to join our multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

This role involves providing post-diagnostic support for families and children with developmental delays, disorders, and special needs in both clinic and community settings. You will be an integral part of a dynamic team that provides care and support to families through their journey from diagnosis to transition to other services in the community.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Case Work/Psychosocial Care:
    • You will be the primary point of contact for families, ensuring accessibility to systems and services.
    • Regular screenings (formal and informal) will be conducted to identify caregivers and families who would benefit from program initiatives at both clinic and home settings.
    • You will provide support, case management, and information for families, linking them with available services.
  • Group Work:
    • You will assist in conducting group work sessions for target groups.
    • You will help deliver workshops and training programs for parents and caregivers.
  • Program Development & Community Work:
    • You will assist in conducting community needs assessments and mapping.
    • You will network with community stakeholders such as Social Service Organizations, MSF, etc., for effective care integration.
    • You will support the overall planning and implementation of the program.
    • You will develop forms, materials, and resources for the program.
    • You will assist in data entry, preparation of reports, collation of materials for meetings, and taking minutes of meetings.
    • You will provide training for community providers.
    Requirements
    • A degree in social work with at least 1-2 years of relevant experience in healthcare, community programs, early intervention, or SPED school setting is necessary.
    • An independent, resourceful, and compassionate team player who can collaborate and multitask in a dynamic environment.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Access).
    • Knowledge of a second language is an advantage.
    Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of SGD $50,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits.
