Job Title: Freelance Health Specialist

  • Implement, deliver and monitor a comprehensive health and performance program.

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Freelance Health Specialist. This role is ideal for individuals who possess strong knowledge of contemporary youth and adult general exercise & fitness, athletic performance, strength & conditioning practice, and the ability to run a wide variety of related courses.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or a minimum diploma with additional strength & conditioning qualifications. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a similar position working in schools, colleges, professional sports clubs, and/or the fitness industry is also required.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Planning and articulating a progressive, age-appropriate health and performance conditioning curriculum.
  • Developing and implementing a parent exercise & fitness program.
  • Creating and delivering athletic performance programs, including athlete data testing systems, strength & conditioning programs, injury prevention, and recovery.
  • Collaborating with and providing support and in-service training for various departments within the organization.
  • Developing and managing student, target setting, and feedback systems and practices.
  • Leading student, staff, and parent personal and group fitness, strength & conditioning sessions.
  • Managing the vision and content of the exercise, strength & conditioning website.
  • Implementing and monitoring policies for safe use and monitoring of fitness center equipment and resources.
  • Managing membership of and access to the UWCSEA exercise, strength & conditioning center.

Excellent English (written and spoken) and the ability to communicate confidently and respectfully with international school students, parents, and staff.
