PRIORITIZE BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION

  • Sustainably drive business process improvement across AMS regions, business units, and functional areas by leveraging strategic expertise in Business Process Improvement Systems, tools, and thought processes.
  • Develop and deploy comprehensive business transformation plans that align with Abbott's strategic objectives.
  • Cultivate an environment of open communication, fostering collaboration among stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in the execution of business transformation initiatives, ensuring timely completion and effective resource allocation.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within Abbott, promoting the adoption of cutting-edge methodologies and best practices.
  • Strengthen relationships with key leadership and functional experts to ensure alignment and support for business transformation efforts.
  • Drive organization-wide adoption of Lean Six Sigma principles and tools, facilitating process improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Conduct regular benchmarking and gap analysis to identify areas for improvement, informing data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, providing transparent updates on progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage knowledge sharing and best practices in business transformation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying insights to inform business transformation strategies.
  • Develop and implement robust metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of business transformation initiatives.
  • Analyze data and provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders, ensuring informed decision-making.

BUSINESS TRANSFORMATION KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the Head of Operations Excellence in defining Operational Excellence strategies and goals, deploying plans, and ensuring alignment with the business strategy.
  • Communicate the Operations Excellence strategy to the site/function and serve as a role model for Business Excellence behaviors and values.
  • Drive the implementation of Operations Excellence workstreams in AMS, promoting Class A behavior and sustainability.
  • Cordinate Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
  • Lead Lean Six Sigma projects to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and reduce costs while achieving customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Green Belt programs, advocate training, and Kaizen on-site.
  • Influence staff to apply Lean Six Sigma tools for problem-solving.
  • Create an open environment for learning and facilitate Operations Excellence/Class A/BCP training.
  • Mentor Black Belts, Green Belts, and Advocates for Lean Sigma projects.
  • Track and report project benefits.
  • Network with other sites/functions to exchange knowledge and good practices both internally and externally.
  • Cultivate the continuous improvement culture in AMS.
  • Lead and support Divisional Business Excellence projects.
  • Drive activities to maintain Class A standards.
  • Report balance scorecard results monthly to the site and provide matrix results to Division.
  • Any other duties assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science; Industrial Engineering is highly advantageous.
  • 5-8 years of related experience, with at least 3 years in a management position.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong change management and facilitation skills.
  • Proven project management expertise.
  • Black Belt Certification is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to influence and negotiate effectively.
  • Coaching and mentoring ability.
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude.
