Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated healthcare professional to join our team as a Staff Nurse. As a key member of our healthcare team, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and supporting patients in their rehabilitation.
Key Responsibilities:
- To perform comprehensive patient assessments, identifying health needs and developing individualized care plans to achieve positive patient outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of services and optimal patient care.
- Demonstrate expertise in clinical nursing skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families on health-related topics, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient progress and treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care.
- Collaborate with doctors and other healthcare professionals to manage emergency situations effectively, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Implement interventions to achieve positive patient outcomes, monitoring progress and adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Manage medical supplies, equipment, and consumables inventory efficiently, minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols to prevent harm to patients and staff, maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
- Participate in patients' rehabilitation, involving family members as necessary and promoting patient-centered care.
- Maintain accurate records of medication administration, patient notes, and charts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies or crisis situations, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
Requirements:
- A Diploma in Nursing (SNB registered)
- Relevant work experience, with a strong understanding of clinical nursing practices and procedures.
Preferred Skills:
- ICU experience, with a strong understanding of critical care principles and practices.
- Inventory management, with a focus on minimizing waste and optimizing resource utilization.
- Healthcare industry knowledge, with a strong understanding of clinical nursing practices and procedures.
- Infection control practices, with a focus on preventing harm to patients and staff.
- Medication administration skills, with a strong understanding of pharmacology and dosage calculations.
- Patient education techniques, with a focus on promoting health literacy and empowerment.
