Facilities Manager Job Description

As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of our mosque environment. This includes ensuring the building's functionality, comfortability, security, and safety are met at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee hardware and software maintenance of Mosque ICT System
  • Collaborate with Corporate Service Unit in implementing and maintaining mosque's infrastructure, facilities, equipment, and tools
  • Conduct routine inspections of the mosque facilities to identify maintenance needs
  • Coordinate and oversee repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and general building repairs
Safety Protocols
  • Develop and implement safety procedures to ensure the safety of worshippers, staff, and visitors
  • Regularly conduct safety inspections and address any hazards or issues promptly
  • Monitor security systems and equipment, such as alarms and surveillance cameras
Event Support Services
  • Assist in setting up and organizing events held within the mosque premises
  • Coordinate with event organizers to ensure facilities meet event requirements and provide logistical support as needed
Inventory Control
  • Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, and materials needed for facility maintenance and operations
  • Procure necessary supplies and equipment in a timely and cost-effective manner
Communication and Liaison
  • Liaise with mosque leadership, staff, and volunteers to understand facility needs and priorities
  • Communicate effectively with external contractors, vendors, and service providers to coordinate maintenance and repairs

Supporting Roles: Assist and participate in whole-of-mosque initiatives and activities, Provide general administration for the unit & perform any duties as assigned by Head of Department
