Opportunity Summary:

Tax Strategist Position

We are seeking a highly experienced Tax Strategist to join our team on a part-time basis for a one-year assignment. This role involves overseeing tax matters, including tax planning, compliance, reporting, and maintaining relationships with external authorities.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum 12+ years of tax experience, preferably in the fund/asset management industry, particularly with international blue-chip financial institutions. Prior Big 4 tax experience is desirable, as well as familiarity with investment fund structures and tax compliance filings.

  • Develop comprehensive tax strategies to optimize financial performance while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Manage preparation and/or review of annual tax returns and quarterly GST returns.
  • Work on transfer pricing issues and other tax advisory matters.

The successful Tax Strategist will be hands-on, possessing excellent presentation and communication skills, flexibility, and adaptability.

This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and offers a unique opportunity to work in a newly created function with a global private equity firm backed by a prominent asset management company based locally.
